Jane Olson, Artist

Jane Olson is a native Tennessean who graduated from Vanderbilt University, where she studied Art History.  She loves and is inspired by the works of Abstract Expressionist artists such as Matisse, Kadinsky, de Kooning, Joan Mitchell and Cy Twombly.  Jane is self taught and experiments with all kinds of mediums, including collage, watercolor paint, acrylic paint, encaustic medium, pastel, colored pencil, crayon, and graphite pencil. She is an active member of the Downtown Artist’s Co-op in Clarksville, Tennessee, founded 20 years ago.

Jane is a practicing attorney in Downtown Clarksville, Tennessee, where she maintains a law office with her husband, Mark Olson.  Jane has two grown children, Robert and Elizabeth, and a golden retriever named “Her Autumness”.  Jane also likes knitting.
